Openx advertising based on time instead of CPM

Question:

I have a question about Billing System Integration mods for Open X. I believe it will meet our needs, except we sell advertising based on time (week, month, year, etc.) instead of CPM or clicks. Is it possible to sell advertising based on time rather than CPM or clicks with one of them?

Answer:

Yes, it is possible to implement system which will sell ad-space in time frame instead of CPC or CPM.

You can make below system using OpenX API.

1) Admin can set cost for week, month, and year wise.
2) Advertiser will have new tab “My Account” where he can purchase ad space (zone) on time base for each his campaigns. Suppose, he buys ad space (zone) for month then mod will set expiration date of his campaigns after 30 days or it will add 30 days to existing expiration date.

Billing System integration (PayPal) with Admin Control

Question:

Can we set default impressions, clicks and conversions for the campaigns by admin?

Answer:

We have create one plugin “Billing System integration (PayPal) with Admin Control”
This plugin is using for the following
This provides one control panel for admin. Admin can set default impressions, clicks, and conversions for new campaigns. Before buying an inventory advertisers can test those.
After buying the impressions for campaign, impression booked for that campaign will be the purchased amount.
Then advertisers will not be able to change all impression, clicks etc things… because they have purchased an amount of impression and no need of resetting that.
This will integrate a billing system with PayPal which will allow advertisers to purchase campaigns inventory.
Here, the administrator can set the banner’s price per 1000 impressions or 1000 clicks and the advertiser will be able to purchase 1000 clicks or 1000 impressions through PAYPAL.
After purchasing impressions, advertiser’s campaign will be added by purchased clicks or impressions.

Billing System Integration with Admin Control

Question:

We want a system where advertisers can place their adverts with as little
interaction between us as possible (preferably none!!). We have diffrent
advert positions (currently on one site but later more) and each one has a
diffrent price. The question comes in with your system is that we see you
have to make packages which we really do not want, we want the customer to
be able to select how many units they want and in which position and it to
calculate the cost and then take payment. So people could order 50 CPM units
in position 3 at £5 per CPM or 51 units or 52 etc… without having to
define hundreds of packages. Then they should be able to upload the banner and process the payment via paypal. So the whole thing, including renewals if possible, is handled by the server and openx program and we do not have to upload banners and deal with payment!

We think your system maybe able to do this, but if not we would need a quote for such customisation. It should not be that hard as its a few database calls its simply time is of the essence and if an off the shelf solution to automated charging for advertising is possible then that would really help us out.

Answer:

Billing System Integration (Paypal) with Admin Control which will allow you to purchase package in any number of quantity but purchased impressions will apply to all his banners (Banners can be different size and they can be displayed in different zones but it will not affect. It means all zones will have same price (XXX $ per CPM)).

As per your requirement, you want admin to set each pre-defined zones price (It can be different for each zone) and allow advertiser to selects position for his banner and selects number of CPM units and allow him to upload banner and redirect him to paypal for payment. Once he will pay successfully, his banner will be active and it will start to display in selected zone of site.

For this, we have to make new UI (not in OpenX UI) for advertisers where he can do all above steps. Also, we have to disable some of OpenX permissions for advertiser so that he can not linked to other zones afterwards. (He should be linked with that zone only which zone was selected before payment.)

Implementation of all these functionality will take 2 days.

Billing System Integration (with Publisher payment UI)

we are working in the openx 2.6. we need to billing system integration with paypal.

Answer:

we have created one mod for this. This mod will integrate a billing system with PAYPAL which will allow advertisers to purchase campaigns inventory.

Here, the administrator can set the banner’s price per 1000 impressions or 1000 clicks and the advertiser will be able to purchase 1000 clicks or 1000 impressions through PAYPAL.

After purchasing impressions, advertiser’s campaign will be added by purchased clicks or impressions.

Also, this mod will give Interface for the administrator where he can set publisher sharing per 1000 impressions.

Publisher will get an interface to see his billing.
