Is there any API to get ads from openx hosted? Will it work in OpenX only?

Question:
i have my own adserver (custom, hand written).

Is there any way to integrate openx Market plugins (Openx Hosted) to my adserver so that i can put my campaign to openx hosted and get ads from openx hosted?

Is there any API to get ads from openx hosted? Will it work in OpenX only?
Answer:

We have understand your question, As you know, OpenX market has not released any API to get ads from OpenX host. As you told that you want to integrate your adserver with oxmarket, we need oxmarket API to integrate it to your own adserver.

Currently, We can have OpenX setup and we can setup OpenX market in it and then we can use OpenX invocation code into your adserver and this way you will get all advertisers from OpenX Market.

(Currently, OpenX Market is supporting only OpenX Product only so we have to wait till they will release API to get ads or put our ads in it.)

Number Of Active Campaigns For One Zone

Question:
How do identify the number of banners in each campaign?. I want to show total number of banners in each campaigns in admin site.

Answer:
This feature is not exist in openx. We have developed one plugin for this.
you can to identify the number of active campaigns or banners in tha admin site.
This will provide you a drop down list to select the campaign of a particular advertiser.
This will display the banners probably on your website.
you can see the number of active campaigns or banners for one particular zone.
This is very useful for the administrator, advertiser as well as the publisher.

How do set the remainder for before my banner or campaign is expiring?

Answer:
This feature is not exist in openx. but, we provide plugin for this.

This sends an email to the advertiser before the end of its banner display or campaign.

This informs advertiser banner or campaign expiration.

Thus, it helps the advertiser to plan for the next banner or try to display the same banner.

Gives a mail to the advertiser before the expiration of the banner or campaign.

Helps the advertiser in planing well ahead. The advertiser will be able to know the clear position of his banners.

It is very useful for the advertiser.

you can deactivate a campaign in the same way that you can deactivate a banner.

Hide Past Inactive Campaigns

Question:

i want to hide inactive campaigns which are expired, in the campaign overview page.

Answer:

This will not hide campaigns which will be activated in future.

For example, if Advertiser has a campaign set to active tomorrow, and now if the Advertiser clicks on hide inactive campaigns link, it will hide all inactive campaigns from view.

It means it will hide campaigns which will be activated in future also. (And this is what most advertisers don’t want because he want to manage all current campaign and future campaigns)

So, this will help for such kind of Advertisers.

They could see all active campaigns and all future campaigns also, so that Advertiser will find it easy-to-manage active campaigns in their current view.

I will give limited number of banners per campaign

Question:

How do set the Administrator to limit the banners upload per campaign?

Answer:

we are provide the functionality so that advertiser will get the permission to add banners for his campaigns.

Administrator can restrict the number of banners to be uploaded per campaign.

If advertiser has uploaded that many banners for a particular campaign, then he will not get permission to add any new banners for that campaign.

Deactive Campaign Option in admin

Question:
Currently one campaign is running in my adserver. I am using openx for adserver. now, How to deactive one campaign in my adserver?

Currently, you cannot deactive campaign in your adserver. because, this option is not exist in openx.

We provide one plugin for this. If you want to deactivate a campaign while a campaign is running, this will be useful.

Using this you can deactivate a campaign in the same way that you can deactivate a banner.

This will be helpful even to pause the campaign for some time.
